The Community Market – A Six Month Check-up By Reg Coffey

The Community Market edited

Long Sault – It’s been six months since the grand opening of The Community Market and time to see how they are doing. The store is still open 7 days a week and the proprietors, Stacey Holmes and James Loucks, were there on a Sunday afternoon serving their customers.

The store has been adapting and improving over the past six months and the number of vendors that they represent is steadily increasing. Currently they have 102 vendors in total and Stacey and James are always open to new local vendors of food, arts and craft to naturopathic products.

Rooms have been added to provide health services such as massage therapy, Reiki, reflexology, food care and esthetics and a conference/meeting room is currently being renovated.

Both James and Stacey are continuing to find new ways to serve the community but have found that it is not easy to learn about all the appropriate government rules and regulations that guide retail operations like theirs.

The Community Market is located on 16133 County Rd 36 in Long Sault.
