Friendly Circle Showcase 2015 by Reg Coffey

Outside Vendors 1

Long Sault – It was a beautiful day yesterday for the social highlight of the spring for Long Sault seniors, the 3rd Annual Friendly Circle Showcase. The event has grown each year to the point where they had vendors lining the parking lot in front of the South Stormont Town Hall. The organizers of the showcase stated that there were 42 vendors this year, up from 25 last year and 15 in 2013.

That was just a couple of pictures of the terrific food entrepreneurs that were at the showcase. I should also mention Jack’s Fudge and Clarkburn Farms who were outside with me.

After all those sweets you could wash it all down with some delicious fresh roasted coffee brewed in the parking lot. If you wanted to add something sweet to your coffee there were a couple of vendors who could help you out.

There were also crafters and service vendors on hand to provide information and gift buying opportunities.

At my booth right outside the main entrance I could see a steady stream of people going into the hall and I could hear the din of people enjoying themselves all day long.

This social event has set the standard for local people and businesses getting together to have fun in our area. Fortunately the weather co-operated and the good times were seen both inside and out of the Township Hall.
