Ingleside – “Twas the month before Christmas, and all through the school, all the creatures were stirring, to buy something cool.”

This was the 8th edition of the Ingleside Craft Show at the Rothwell Osnabruck Scholl on the weekend and it just keeps getting bigger and better.

Organized by the Rothwell-Osnabruck School Parent’s Council and spearheaded by mother-daughter team Deanna Herbert and Edie McWhirter, the show was created to raise money for the school activities. While the tally for this year isn’t in yet last year the show raised $5,300 after expenses.

By the end of the afternoon on Saturday we saw jolly Olde St. Nick spreading cheer and good wishes throughout the building.

We don’t have an estimate of the number of people who came to the show yet but the view from my booth in the hallway leads me to believe there were thousands and thousands of people attending. OK, that may be a slight exaggeration but there were a lot of people there. I sold a lot of cups of coffee, hot chocolate and tea.

If you missed it this year….. well then the opportunity to find those unique Christmas gifts in one place has passed. You’ll just have to mark your calendar for next year.
