Councilor Waldroff Scores Points at All Candidates Debate in South Stormont OCT 17, 2014

waldroff oct 16 2014SSN – Councilor Richard Waldroff stole the show at the Lion’s Club in Bonville as an All Candidates event ooccurred.   The full slate showed up and it was interesting to hear the candidates share.

Some were rookies like Mark Swerdfeger, and some were savvy vets.

Sparks flew as candidate Richard Currier still was playing funny beggars with numbers to the frustration of some of the current council.

Sadly the South Stormont News seemed to be an election issue as candidates Jim Bancroft, Deputy Mayor Tammy Hart, Richard Currier, Donna Primeau, and Grumpy himself Dave Smith have suggested killing the ad that the township has to publish the bulletin in our print edition (out next week!)

There was no clear winner from the speeches for mayor.

In the deputy Mayor race Ray Beauregard didn’t say much but he made it count.  Cindy Woods, who is running for Deputy Mayor against rival Tammy Hart didn’t have much punch in her moments with the microphone.

The council candidate speeches were a mix.  Some spent most of their time explaining who they were while some focused on issues.  Councilor Waldroff rebutted some of the twisted math of Mr. Currier who was attacking the township’s new LED lighting.

Final statements

It should be interesting to see who voters decide to elect on October 27th!
